The Dazzeling Dala Herd
from Dalarna
In a small village in Sweden, in the province of Dalarna, there lived an unusual herd of the most beautiful horses the people in the village had ever seen. They called them the “Dazzling Dala Horses.”
They were unusual horses because their coats sparkled like diamonds. On rare occasions the villagers would see the horses running through the fields. On sunny days they would go into the fields and hide behind trees or rocks hoping to catch a glimpse of the Dala’s grazing in the pastures. But to their dismay, they tried many times to find the Dalas’ secret hiding place, but it was never found.
There was one little blue Dala that did not sparkle like the rest of the herd, and this is his story.

The Secrets of
Shannon-Berry Kingdom

One night after everyone was asleep, Krinkles tiptoed into her brother’s room. She had come up with the perfect plan. A plan she knew would certainly work. She gently shook Krispin to wake him up.
She whispered softly,” Krithpen, wake up, I have a plan. Krithpen! Wake up!"
Sleepily, Krispen opened his eyes and stared at Krinkles. “Plan? What plan?” Shhh! You’ll wake mother and father up. She grabbed Krispen’s arm and drug him to her room and sat him on her bed. “I figured out a way for us to go to Shannon-Berry!”
“What? “But how do you know where to go? How will we get there? We can’t walk Krinkles! What about mother and father, we’ll be in big trouble! We might get terribly hurt along the way to some place where we don’t even know where it is!”
“KRITHPEN!”
“Oh, I can’t breathe!”
“KRITHPEN!”
